Assistant Project Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Project Engineer to support technical projects, assist our sales managers, and help bridge communication between our new U.S. team and our engineering headquarters in Germany. In this role, you will create technical drawings, support system layout and calculations, and help prepare project documentation for industrial dust-extraction and material-handling systems.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical drawings, system layouts, and basic engineering calculations for dust-extraction and filtration systems.
  • Provide technical support to U.S. Sales Managers, including component selection
  • Review customer requirements and translate them into technical concepts or system designs.
  • Communicate with the German engineering headquarters to align technical details, request engineering data, and coordinate project deliverables.
  • Support the creation of bills of materials (BOM), technical documentation, and submittal packages.
  • Assist with project planning, documentation tracking, and internal communication between sales, engineering, and service teams.
  • Support the service technician team with technical questions and documentation when needed.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or a related technical field. (Equivalent technical experience may be considered.)
  • Foundational understanding of mechanical systems, airflow, or industrial equipment.
  • Experience with technical drawings using CAD software.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documents, specifications, and technical data sheets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable performing basic engineering calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with both U.S. colleagues and German engineering teams.
  • High attention to detail, organized working style, and the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects at once.
